Chase star has Kaiapoi date
Shaun Wallace, everyone’s favourite Chaser, is returning to New Zealand this May and June following a four-year hiatus.
Wallace enjoyed his previous visit here in 2019 so much, he has reached out once again to the people of New Zealand to arrange quiz events at places he missed last time.
Believe It Or Not’s founder Brendan Lochead says Shaun genuinely loves giving back: ‘‘Shaun loves this country, the All Blacks and our quizzes! Last time he was here he visited around a dozen of our cities – this time he will add Napier and Invercargill to his five-city tour for the first time.
Kaiapoi is included.
Wallace is acutely aware of the damage Cyclone Gabrielle caused to the Hawke’s Bay, so we’re really pleased to have locked in an event there on Saturday, June 3.
This year there are running five significant black tie charity events in Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Invercargill and Canterbury. Thanks to the generosity of each venue, their suppliers and various sponsors, these events will be run at cost to support important local causes, profits from each event will be donated to local charities.
The Grand Hall at Eden Park on Wednesday, May 31, is first up with Wendy Petrie as emcee, funds raised will go to the John Walker ‘‘Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation’’.
