GALANT GTO 50TH ANNIVERSARY, EASTER WEEKEND 2023, CHRISTCHURCH

FRIDAY

The weekend will start with an informal meet and greet at DoubleTree by Hilton, Christchurch, on Friday evening from 7.30pm.

SATURDAY

A scenic run from DoubleTree by Hilton to Akaroa travelling in convoy with a stop at Little River township for coffee and shopping, then onto Akaroa, arriving around 11.00am. This is the day that the Lion’s Club of Akaroa hold their Monster Paddy Market and auction. This event is huge, covering around two acres. The GTOs will be parked at the Presbyterian Church opposite the Lions event, giving you time to take in all of the attractions that Akaroa has to offer. Departing Akaroa around 3.00pm by the main road and meeting up at Orton Bradley Park, Charteris Bay for a BBQ .

SUNDAY

Make our way to Christchurch Mitsubishi’s showroom for a public display from 10am - mid afternoon.

There will be a coach departing from Christchurch Mitsubishi’s premises at 10.15am for the partners/wives to North Canterbury’s finest wineries for tasting and lunch, returning mid afternoon (once the boys have finished).

Sunday night, all at DoubleTree by Hilton for a meal with the presentation of trophies, as donated by Mike and Sue John of Auckland. Four trophies to be presented; Best in Show, Most Original Car, People’s Choice and for the car that has travelled the furthest from home to be at this celebration.

This event is for all Galant GTOs, the good and the not so good.
