NZ SILVER FERN RALLY 2024

As well as organising all Targa Events, the Ultimate Rally Group will also be running the Silver Fern Rally. This truly classic Kiwi rally dates from the late ‘60s.

Now held every second year, the NZ Silver Fern Rally is a gravel rally which will see competitors start from Christchurch on November 22 and will head to Greymouth, Timaru, Dunedin and finish in Wanaka/Queenstown on the 29th.

The rally will be run in three competitions – the 2WD Historic Trophy Competition, the 2WD Challenge Competition and the Classic 4WD Competition. Organisers are also planning to offer a Time Trial and Tour category for those wanting to experience the excitement of driving on closed roads at a reduced pace.

Additionally, organisers have also announced the return of the Silver

Frond, a three-day rally designed for those entrants unable to commit to the full 7-day event and held over the first three days of the NZ Silver Fern Rally.

Expressions of interest have already been received from many local teams, as well as entrants from Australia, UK and Europe.
