HOLY BASIL CHAI

In­gre­di­ents 1 cup fil­tered wa­ter 1 cup al­mond or co­conut milk 1 ta­ble­spoon dried holy basil 1 tea­spoon ginger root 1 clove ½-1 tea­spoon cin­na­mon pow­der ¼ tea­spoon car­da­mon seeds Honey or ste­via leaves, to taste

Com­bine wa­ter and al­mond

or co­conut milk in a saucepan and slowly heat un­til just about to boil. Re­move from heat and add holy basil, ginger, cin­na­mon and car­damom. Cover with a lid and steep for 10-15 min­utes. Strain and add honey or ste­via if de­sired.
