Honesty with gold shrubs

NZ Gardener - - In Season -

There are several forms of Lunaria

annua seed about. Mauve is the commonest but there is a deeper pink and a white, and those versions with a variegated leaf are lovely. It is a challenge to establish but once you have, it’s hard to get rid of!

The best double act I’ve seen with honesty is when it drifts about cooling the brightness of gold spring shrubs such as kerria or evergreen

Berberis darwinii. (Kings Seeds)
