Pick roses in the morning after the dew has evaporated and only select from spray-free shrubs

-

Make your own rose oil.

YOU WILL NEED: • 1 cup rose petals • 1 cup jojoba or grapeseed oil • Small jar with lid • Boiled water • Cheesecloth or strainer

CUT, SHRED OR BRUISE YOUR ROSE PETALS.

Put them in the jar. Add the oil, then shut the lid and swirl the jar to make sure all the petals are coated in oil.

Bring water to the boil. Place the jar in the hot water (up to about two-thirds of the jar). Once the water has cooled, put the jar in a warm area for a day. Then strain the oil, pressing the petals to get as much oil as you can. Pour the oil into a bottle with a tight lid and keep in a cool place.
