There many gar­den spurges and most bring limey love­li­ness in spring. But this meek and mild self-seeder, though hard to buy, for­mally in­hab­its nearly ev­ery good cot­tage gar­den I have vis­ited, where its lime green bracts (they aren’t true flow­ers) dance through all the other plant­ing through spring, sum­mer and au­tumn, prov­ing that lime truly is the colour that goes with ab­so­lutely ev­ery­thing.
