The Signal Box is an exact half scale replica of the heritage-listed signal box at Remuera railway station. Built 20-odd years ago beside a private railway on Sarah’s parents’ property, originally it was used by a model railway club as a break room. But earlier this year it was shifted to a new position on the property and extensively renovated – including a repaint in the official New Zealand Railways colours.
