UPCYCLED CHARM IN NEW PLYMOUTH

-

Shed of the Year runner-ups use prize to splash colour on their New Plymouth garden projects.

Renee and Neil were runner-up in Resene’s Shed of the Year 2020 for their chocolate-box worthy she-shed.

Neil built the primarily upcycled shed to house Renee’s gardening tools and bits and pieces. It sits proudly in the middle of her

New Plymouth vege garden and is the envy of those who visit.

Since winning their $1000 runner up prize of Resene vouchers, the couple have put the paints to good use over a range of projects.

“The Resene voucher was really useful as Neil was building another shed and also made a series of bird feeders and bird boxes for the garden,” says Renee.

“We upcycled as much as possible and the bird boxes and feeders were from the wreckers yard. With a fresh lick of Resene paint, they look great in the garden,” she adds.

Neil has also built another shed and they chose Resene Lumbersider white on the outside. The obelisks have been painted Resene Lumbersider

Pohutukawa, Resene Envy and Resene Black.
