Lotatoes show winning form
Lotatoes™ have beaten out other high-profile brands such as Vogels, Whittakers, Skinny and Samsung to take out the Best Marketing on a Shoestring Budget category in the TVNZ–NZ Marketing Awards.
T&G launched the lower carb and calorie potatoes last year. Grown in Pukekohe and Ohakune, Lotatoes have 40 percent less carbs and fewer calories than other commonly available varieties.
“Our innovative, lower carb spud was a long time in the making, but it was worth the wait,” said Michelle Singh, T&G marketing manager New Zealand.
“They have taken the country by storm and we’re thrilled with this latest acknowledgement.”
The Lotatoes marketing campaign was led by T&G’s marketing team with support from Tenfold for branding plus strong public relations and social media activity from internal marketing and the PR Shop.
