Skilton and Wildebeast (SPS306-6) are both extremely high yielding, green, multi-leaf varieties that have shown consistent performance, year round, in both field and hydroponic systems. In addition, two multi-leaf cos varieties Budgee (SPS465-7) and Ezme (SPS323-6) provide growers with an excellent option for a cos leaf that is high yielding with very uniform leaves through the heads.

South Pacific Seeds have additional varieties in trial currently that will extend this range with different leaf types and colours such as SPS314-6.This looks very much like a multi-leaf oak in a traditional style. And then there is SPS036-7, a red spikey type with massive yield potential and a high level of disease resistance allowing for year round production.

Breeding company Enza Zaden has focused breeding on bolting tolerance, versatility and useable yield to provide an outstanding range of lettuces ideally suited for salad production.
