Packed with European antiques and treasures, Vitrine has moved to bigger premises in Morningsid­e, which has allowed husband and wife team, Julien and Amanda Théry, to bring back architectu­ral pieces from their quarterly pilgrimage­s to Europe. Recent arrivals include 100-year-old French tiles and bluestone sinks from Belgium. TANTALUS ESTATE

Following a complete renovation led by Auckland’s Cheshire Architects, Waiheke Island’s Tantalus Estate restaurant is open for business. The former vineyard building has been transforme­d, with hand-painted tiles created in situ by Auckland artist Ross Lewis and vine-festooned lighting throughout made by hand by Epsilon.
