The winner is…
Auckland interior designer Rachyl Abraham is the star of our Interior of the Year issue. She was a finalist in three categories and was deemed the supreme winner with a kitchen the judges described as “masterful”. Art director Richard Brunton admired Rachyl’s sophisticated use of colour (“I loved the charcoal colour she painted the stair rail”) and her attention to detail. “The finish above the mantelpiece for example looks like wood but it’s actually wallpaper.” See the rest of Rachyl’s house on page 90.
