New vin­tages of sau­vi­gnon blanc are usu­ally re­leased in late au­tumn and win­ter, al­though a num­ber of bou­tique winer­ies hold onto them and have only just re­cently re­leased last year’s vin­tage. Love­block is one of those winer­ies. Owned by well-known wine­maker Kim Craw­ford and his wife Erica, it’s a bou­tique win­ery in Marl­bor­ough’s Awa­tere Val­ley.
