One of the few male florists in the country, Brook Thomson wanted to add a “hint of masculinity” to the interior of Brooklyn Flowers, his new Ponsonby Road shop. He designed it himself with copper and navy touches and industrial concrete benches. Chinese and Japanese combine with the utmost diplomacy at Xoong. With the help of interior design studio Ctrl Space, the eatery includes a minimalist Japanese room and a lively Chinese bar.
