In New Zealand, ac­cord­ing to Mas­ter of Wine Bob Camp­bell, “Wines with $100-plus price tags are no longer the rar­ity they once were.” Writ­ing in The Real Re­view, he says 57 of our wines fetch that price. The most ex­pen­sive is Magna Praemia, a hand­crafted Bordeaux blend by Wai­heke Is­land’s Destiny Bay Wine, re­tail­ing from $435 to $800 a bot­tle for older vin­tages.
