Chardonnay champ’s cellar door

NZ House & Garden - - DRINKS -

Hawke’s Bay winemaker Tony Bish’s The Urban Winery only produces chardonnay, creating five delightfully different styles including Zen, which has been fermented in a Taransaud Ovum – a French, egg-shaped wooden barrel. Some of the latest Zen vintage is being released in December ($99.95 now, $129.95 from Easter) and would be a great gift for any serious chardonnay fan. The Urban Winery, located in the historic National Tobacco Company building in Napier’s Ahuriri precinct, serves as a cellar door for Tony Bish and other boutique producers.
