FALEVAI COTTAGE The little cottage on the right is part of the hospital and where we stay when we go back to Falevai to work on projects with the community.

KUPESI We use this 80-yearold stencil in our work; it was made by the late Mileti Afuha’amango Helu, a relative from Sulieti’s home village of Falevai in Vava’u, Tonga.

NUKU ISLAND This private island, a short boat ride from Falevai, Tonga, is where we collect the umea (red earth) to make the dye for our paintings; it always inspires us.

BELLA

Our German shepherd often hangs out with us while we’re working on our art. She gives us plenty of love and makes us laugh.
