WHERE TO EAT

-

Saint Sebastian

Chef/owner – and trained architect – Caleb Kloeg has worked his magic on both the food and the decor at this eatery set inside Masterton’s former Masonic Lodge. Try the charcoal cauliflower or kingfish crudo and thank us later.

Brac & Bow

Featherston’s historic The Royal Hotel, which dates from 1868, was sold last year and is now managed by local John Richards and his partner Theo Wijnsma. The pair have named the downstairs restaurant after their two dogs and brought in chef Bradley Esteves.

The Offering

So well has this 80-seater Greytown cafe done that owners Bevan and Jacqui Morland have just opened another outpost in Masterton. Menu stars are the funky dogs – pork sausage hot dogs from the butchery next door tucked into pretzel buns with a range of sides.
