EXPERIENCE

-

Stretch your legs at He Ara Kotahi (left and below), the pedestrian/cycle pathway that curls alongside the Manawatū River. He Ara Kotahi means “the path that brings people together”, a sentiment that locals and visitors have embraced. Hire an electric bike to cover the 7km pathway which winds through native bush and farmland, past historic pā sites and the Linton Military Camp. Stop to take lots of photos at the He Ara Kotaki Bridge, which flings itself across the river at Victoria Esplanade. Designed to look like a fallen karaka tree from above, at night it appears to float above the river.
