This trend is borne of the same reasoning for a love of earthy neutrals but is darker and more cocooning in nature with olive greens, deep blues and faded blacks. Says Brenda Ngatai from Resene: “Off-blacks, blue-blacks and deep blue hues can bring a cocooning effect to a living space and create a sense of intimacy that can’t be replicated with lighter tones.”
