It’s fun yet calming so let’s embrace the colour pink

-

Gone are the days when pink was seen as a gender-specific colour and relegated to use in little girls’ rooms only. Now appreciated for its soothing and joyful properties, pink comes in many forms from icy pastels and bold hot hues to dusky wafer tones and soft blushes.

With a touch of blue added, pink also crosses over to a range of pretty lavenders – like the soft and subtle lilac Dulux Tuakau, seen in the room at right. It’s one of the Dulux® Colours of New Zealand® – a range of more than 1000 colours that echo the beautiful landscapes right across New Zealand.

You only have to look at flowers in a garden to see how mutable and interesting pink can be. Just as there is variety in the colour itself, there are many ways to introduce pink into your home – as a pale seashell neutral perhaps, as a feature wall or on every wall of a room. Don’t be shy, give it a try.
