Setting out to be sophisticated and elegant like their kuia (grandmothers) but also with a relaxed vibe, owners Hamish Mexted and Riann and Tu Umaga-Marshall opened this inner-city bar late last year; it was important to them that te ao Māori was respectfully incorporated into the space, from the pounamulook tables through to the menu.
