Abedroom is a haven in any season but even more so in winter. Snuggle up beneath the duvet surrounded by plump pillows and step onto a floor covered in wool carpet or rugs. “Mood lighting like candles or soft bedside lamps and window coverings that keep the warmth in are a must,” says Kerry Jackson of M.M Linen. “Think of making your home feel like a boutique hotel, with goose-down duvets for ultimate warmth but which are still light so do not weigh you down. Bring the outdoors in with a gorgeous botanical or floral duvet set to add colour and interest. Add an extra layer on the end of your bed like a rich velvet comforter or cotton waffle blanket and consider washed linen sheets – they’re so soft. Also, you can never have enough cushions. They give your bedroom that inviting and layered feel.”
