First violinist Wilma Smith (former concertmas­ter of the NZSO and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) leads a string quartet featuring Wellington­based violinist Amalia Hall, Australian violist Chris Moore and teenage Kiwi cellist Matthias Balzat along with soloists Diedre Irons (piano) and clarinetti­st Mark Walton.
