Our Built Heritage
To 30 November, Forrester Gallery, 9 Thames Street, Oamaru The town’s handsome architectural heritage is explored in a multifaceted exhibition which focuses on 20 residential buildings designed by the Victorian-era architectural practice of Forrester and Lemon. In 1987 the Forrester Gallery staged a small exhibition of blackand-white photographs (circa 1981) of the 20 residences whose architectural plans are held by the gallery. Our Built Heritage revisits the earlier project with the addition of current photographs of the homes, their original drawings and interviews with the owners.
