CAROLYN ROBERTSON
Past: Carolyn Robertson started her career as a press photographer, covering everything from mountaintop rescues to spending an afternoon with Jamie Oliver. Perhaps Jamie was the inspiration for the move to food photography? For this issue, she shot and styled Ruth Pretty’s mouthwatering festive food spread, That’s the spirit. (See page 112.)
Present: Carolyn loves the creative heart and soul of Wellington, which is where she is based. Living among the tuis and wood pigeons inspires her to enjoy life’s little moments, as do summer days spent in the pool and cooking for her husband Jeff and daughter Frankie.
Future: Carolyn is currently working on a large project based in Auckland, which is teaching her more life lessons about juggling work and family. She appreciates the importance of being a good mum and believes having a career she loves and working with people who inspire her enriches life’s balance. In Wellington, she is looking forward to photographically supporting Wellington’s Pomegranate Kitchen, where former refugees are employed to share their cooking skills.
