Evolve Raises Funds for Forest & Bird

New Zealand jewellery brand, Evolve, has announced a fundraising initiative to support the efforts of Forest & Bird in protecting our native forests and birdlife. The Evolve ‘Forest and Bird Collection’ was recently launched nationwide with 10% of sales being donated to New Zealand’s leading independent conservation organisation, Forest & Bird. “Here at Evolve we feel very passionate about preserving the environment and native species for future generations to enjoy,” says co-founder Louise Laing. “Both Tim (Louise’s husband and Evolve co-founder) and I grew up on farms and have a great love for the outdoors and New Zealand.” “My grandmother has always had a special interest in the Forest & Bird organisation,” explains Louise. “She reads the Forest & Bird magazine and tells us of the wonderful work they are doing for our native environment.” The Evolve ‘Forest and Bird Collection’ features bright enamel charms, handcrafted from solid sterling silver depicting native birds, pohutukawa flowers, ferns and kauri trees. “When we travelled the South Island recently we really noticed how few kea there are now, which is a real shame,” says Louise. “Our native forests and birdlife are so magical and it would be wonderful if our fundraising efforts could help increase the success of future wildlife initiatives. We would love our children and eventually our grandchildren to enjoy seeing these New Zealand treasures forever.”
