Tim Ross: The MidCentury Project
24 August to 6 October, Centre of Contemporary Art Toi Moroki, Christchurch Australian actor, comedian and design fanatic Tim Ross rolls out his highly creative and globally renowned The MidCentury Project in the iconic brutalist building housing CoCA in central Christchurch. For the past five years, Ross and Australian musician Kit Warhurst have taken temporary possession of architecturally significant buildings around the world to deliver a blend of design, storytelling and music. The Mid-Century Project at CoCA comprises an exhibition of furniture, film, artefacts and posters of other mid-century buildings that have housed the project, in tandem with a live show by Ross and Warhurst on 24 August. It’s the first time the project has been staged in New Zealand. coca.org.nz
