Why persistence is the key to stopping it

Eradicating Manchurian rice grass is a long term project. Rhizomes persist for years, even when sprayed. Seed banks may reinfest areas of bare soil.

The best regime for a large infestation is spraying: budget for 50-70% regrowth after the first 1-2 treatments, and 10% thereafter.

It usually requires 5-10 treatments over 6-8 years to eradicate it.
