How to dehydrate strawberries
Step 1: Hull the berries and cut them into quarters or slices. Ensure the pieces are of a similar size and thickness.
Step 2: Place on dehydrator racks or baking paperlined trays.
Step 3: Choose the dehydrator setting for fruit (about 55°C) or a very low oven setting (about 100°C) and dehydrate for 8-10 hours for slightly pliable fruit, or 10-14 hours for crispy.
The drying time will depend on the size of the strawberries. To test it’s at your preferred consistency, leave to cool for 20-30 minutes and try one. If not quite dry enough, continue to dehydrate, then try again.
