2 REASONS WHY PASSIONFRUIT CAN LOSE THEIR PASSION
• Passionfruit vines are here for a good time, not a long time. Commercially, they’re replaced every three years or so. If yours is older than that, plant another one as it can take up to 18 months for a plant to produce its first fruit.
• If your fruit has very little pulp inside, the most likely cause is poor pollination. Your garden might have been short of bees or other pollinators during flowering. However, pollination success is also affected by heavy rain and temperatures that are too high or too low during flowering. You can use a fine bristled paintbrush to help spread the love, and plant lavender around vines to attract bees.
