Here’s our undiluted opinion on all the action from the last eight weeks.
■ Speculation mounted that Ma’a Nonu may be looking to get out of of the second year of his Blues contract.
■ It didn’t mount from nothing - Nonu helped it along by refusing to say whether he was staying or not.
■ Interestingly, he kept declining opportunities to talk about his plans, saying he didn’t want his situation to overshadow the team.
■ Ha - the irony.
■ His silence spoke volumes.
■ Great strategy - get the media to go away by saying nothing.
■ The more he said nothing the more the speculation grew...
■ Ma’a Mia... here we go again...
■ And in due course he broke his silence and confirmed he is joining the Hurricanes.
■ Even more interestingly, while Nonu turned all man of mystery, his good mate and No 12 rival, Sonny Bill Williams was happy to be direct for once.
■ Yes, he’d be keen to play for the All Blacks at the end of this year - but it would depend on how he felt physically and mentally after his season in the NRL.
■ That’s about as up front and direct as SBW gets.
■ Off the field that is.
■ He’s definitely direct on it.
■ It was revealed that Singapore has been short- listed to host the 18th Super Rugby team from 2016.
■ Surely that’s a terrible idea?

■ Has to be in either Southern Europe or Africa.
■ Confusion broke out as to whether the Blues were or weren’t chasing Beauden Barrett.
■ John Kirwan said categorically no offer had been put in front of Barrett by the Blues.
■ At almost exactly the same time in Wellington, Barrett said he was sure one was in the
