Place to Stay: MEITETSU TOYOTA HOTEL Situated in the centre of the city, one-minute walk from the main station, the Meitetsu is a four-star, high-grade hotel that provides the perfect base for the rugby tourist.

Offers outstanding buffet breakfast. VISIT TOYOTA AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM Allow at least four hours all up to get to the museum from the central city, to do it justice and to return. Probably five to six is more realistic.

DINNER KEVIN’S BAR SATURDAY OCTOBER 12

Visit fan zone on way to City of Toyota Stadium for All Blacks v Italy Pool B game. This is the All Blacks final pool game and should have a significant bearing on where they finish in the pool.

Kick off is at 1.45pm local time. Return to fan zone or to Booby’s Bar for drinks and dinner.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 13

Visit Asuke, taking in festival and traditional village.

Return to Toyota City and transfer to Nagoya.
