PLUMTREE TAKES OVER AT HURRICANES

The Hurricanes have promoted long-serving assistant John Plumtree to take over from the departing Chris Boyd next year.

Plumtree, who has had several head coaching stints at various clubs in New Zealand, Wales and South Africa, was always strongly believed to be biding his time to take over at the Hurricanes whom he joined in 2015.

Plumtree has signed a threeyear contract as has his fellow current assistant Jason Holland.

Boyd is heading to Northampton a er this campaign.
