It was impossible to go beyond Sarah Goss as player of the year. She was a rock for the sevens team – her performance never being anything other than exemplary.

She wasn’t necessarily the star player at any tournament as such, but she was the player who ensured that the Ferns had opportunities and that they were building pressure on opponents.

She performed her core roles with a precision, accuracy and consistency that gave others something to which they should aspire.

THE ROCK Sarah Goss was at the core of everything the Black Ferns Sevens did.
