BEST COMEBACK
There are two good candidates for this award. The first is the Wallabies who were 31-7 down at half-time of their final Rugby Championship game in Argentina.
They were on track for a horrible hiding and humiliating defeat, but miraculously scored 38 second half points to win 45-34.
But they don’t win the award because in truth Argentina collapsed as much as Australia surged.
Nope, the award goes to the Crusaders who were 29-0 down to the Waratahs during Super Rugby only to win 31-29.
It took character, resilience and strong captaincy to rescue that game as the Waratahs didn’t crack easily.
