31 RICHIE MO’UNGA’S DOUBLE STRIKE

-

It really was a double punch from Ardie Savea and Richie Mo’unga that won the All Blacks the test in Pretoria.

It was Savea who won the critical penalty inside the All Blacks half to get them the ball back.

Then Mo’unga smashed the penalty long, seeing that the Boks hadn’t covered deep. The ball landed short of touch but bounced perfectly – which may have been good luck or deliberate – to give the All Blacks the five metre lineout.

Savea scored the try from the driving maul but Mo’unga still had to nail the conversion to win it.

Which he did – also managing to wind the clock down perfectly as he did it to ensure the game would finish after he kicked.

?? ?? NAILED IT Richie Mo’unga was calm and composed when he lined up the winning conversion.
