OLD DOG: SONNY BILL WILLIAMS
Williams has a point to prove this year after a horror season for the Blues last year in which he turned out only a handful of times due to injury. He has always been a perfectionist in terms of his preparation and has, over time, developed to the point where he is happy to drive similar standards among his teammates. With Nonu back, there will be questions around where Williams plays. It’s most likely that he will be at second-five, with Nonu at centre. Williams has a big season ahead as he attempts to prove he should be the World Cup and that could be good for the Blues.
