BEST BUY: REUBEN O’NEILL

Reuben O’Neill’s production for Taranaki in the Mitre 10 Cup season earned him a spot in the All Blacks wider squad for their end of year fixtures in Japan and, subsequently, a spot on the Chiefs squad in 2019. Drafted in to fill the hole left by the exit of Tu’inukuafe, O’Neill might not see a whole heap of game time, but adds to the great front-row depth the Chiefs are starting to become known for. With the injury issues the side had at prop last year, bringing in O’Neill, who can play on both sides of the scrum, is a smart addition.
