8: BiLLY meakeS

Most midfielders these days are close to 100kg and look like they would be just as happy playing in the back row.

Not Meakes. He’s a little different. He’s smaller to the point where he looks like he could be snapped and then there is the fact he also looks more like he should be the guitar player for a grunge band.

Don’t be fooled, though, because Meakes has become an integral part of the Rebels and such a useful option in their midfield that he’s moved on to the Wallabies radar.
