Zarn Sullivan, a former King’s College student, has a big fan in head coach Leon MacDonald, who joked late last year that he had signed the 20-year-old on a 10-year contract.

Sullivan played fullback for Auckland in last year’s Mitre 10 Cup, but can also play No10. MacDonald has already hinted that Sullivan will be firmly in the running to start at fullback for the Blues, despite his inexperience.

Last year Sullivan occasionally trained with the Blues, so he’s likely to be comfortable at their headquarters, at least. “I'm pretty excited about some of our younger talent coming through – at fullback in particular,” MacDonald said.
