Over the past few years, the Chiefs have had the luxury of depth in the loose forwards - led by All Blacks captain Sam Cane.
That will again be the area they will know they can rely upon, with stars such as Luke Jacobson and Lachlan Boshier also in the ranks. It isn't just a matter of the players they have available, but the styles they have available as well.
Should they wish to play a more aggressive side, they have players whose best assets come on the attacking side of the ball.
At the back, no one is going to deny the potential attacking threat that lurks in the Chiefs' backline. It was well maintained by opposition defences in 2020, if the Chiefs can get the ball into space, they're going to score points at a good rate.
They have brought in some new blood to the squad that might help to freshen things up in their attack, though the likes of McKenzie, Brad Weber and Tupaea will likely still be the keys to this team's attack.
