If there's an unexpected source of excitement in this team this season, it's going to be Alex Fidow.
The young prop loves to run the football and has shown through schoolboys level through the provincial level that he can do so with plenty of success.
He favours the tighthead side of the scrum, but with Tyrel Lomax in the squad, he's likely to either come from the bench or compete for the open role on the loosehead. He has played for Wellington there and can hold his own. Of the young players to keep an eye on in this squad, Fidow is the most intriguing.
