I’m enjoying the magazine. With the Pasifika challenge I just can't help feeling they are being set up for failure. I believe they should be receiving more support from both the global organisation and the unions from Australia and NZ. This team will increase crowds, diversity and unveil talent never before seen. As for the poor decision to play the All Blacks at Mt Smart Stadium, not only was it a mismatch but basically wrongly educated the rest of NZ that Mt Smart is in the middle of south Auckland. This stadium is less than a two minute drive from the central city suburbs of Royal Oak and Ellerslie. Less than 10 minutes from Eden Park itself (barring an Auckland traffic jam). All week we were bombarded with what a big favour NZR were doing locating the game at Mt Smart. I believe they would have had a far larger crowd at Eden Park as people from all over Auckland and neighboring provinces would have attended in greater numbers. Wayne
