PLAYER OF THE YEAR

ARDIE SAVEA. The loose forward started in 10 of the 15 tests, finished all but two and captained the All Blacks four times. He was used at openside and No8 where he showed his speed and leg drive can be invaluable off the back of the scrum. His speed and skills in general play are outstanding, and defensively and over the ball he is exceptional. Savea’s versatility may mean he shifts around a bit, but he will always be in the trio somewhere.
