25, is one heck of a fullback and has rightly been named there in the Almanack XV and as one of the editors’ five players of the year.

But he has talked about playing second five and with his height - he’s 1.96m tall (6ft 5 in the old measure), he would bring something very different to the position. Like Sonny Bill Williams he could be very hard to stop in the off load and he certainly has the pace, strength and defence to be a credible option. And there are alternatives at fullback in Will Jordan and Damian McKenzie.
