Mike Horn cer­tainly gets around ( the globe). Check out his list of achieve­ments since 1997.

1997: Ama­zon

A solo tra­verse of South Amer­ica from the Pa­cific to the At­lantic, via a 7000km de­scent of the Ama­zon River.

1999: Lat­i­tude Zero

Cir­cum­nav­i­gated the world via the Equa­tor, solo and without any mo­torised trans­port.

2002: Ark­tos

A solo, two-year jour­ney to travel around the Arc­tic Cir­cle via boat, kayak, ski kite and on foot.

2006: North Pole

With fel­low ex­plorer Borge Ous­land, trekked to the North Pole and back dur­ing the con­stant dark­ness of Arc­tic night.

2007 – 2014: the 8000m peaks

Scaled sev­eral of the world’s tallest moun­tains without ad­di­tional oxy­gen or ex­ter­nal as­sis­tance.

2015: Driven To Ex­plore

Drove Mercedes-Benz G-Wa­gens from Switzer­land across 13 coun­tries to Pak­istan. At­tempted to climb K2, turned back from the sum­mit due to un­favourable weather.

2016-2018: Pole2Pole

Cur­rently cir­cum­nav­i­gat­ing the planet via the two Poles, start­ing from Monaco and driv­ing south to the horn of Africa, across Antarc­tica, through New Zealand, Aus­tralia, Asia and Rus­sia to the North Pole, re­turn­ing to Monaco in mid-2018.
