Mike Horn certainly gets around ( the globe). Check out his list of achievements since 1997.
1997: Amazon
A solo traverse of South America from the Pacific to the Atlantic, via a 7000km descent of the Amazon River.
1999: Latitude Zero
Circumnavigated the world via the Equator, solo and without any motorised transport.
2002: Arktos
A solo, two-year journey to travel around the Arctic Circle via boat, kayak, ski kite and on foot.
2006: North Pole
With fellow explorer Borge Ousland, trekked to the North Pole and back during the constant darkness of Arctic night.
2007 – 2014: the 8000m peaks
Scaled several of the world’s tallest mountains without additional oxygen or external assistance.
2015: Driven To Explore
Drove Mercedes-Benz G-Wagens from Switzerland across 13 countries to Pakistan. Attempted to climb K2, turned back from the summit due to unfavourable weather.
2016-2018: Pole2Pole
Currently circumnavigating the planet via the two Poles, starting from Monaco and driving south to the horn of Africa, across Antarctica, through New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Russia to the North Pole, returning to Monaco in mid-2018.
