Winch specialist Superwinch has upped the ante at the ‘serious player’ end of the recreation­al winch market with the launch of its new EXP ( for expedition) series winches.

Proudly built in the US in two spec levels ( EXPi & EXP) and available in three capacities, 8000, 10,000 and 12,000 lbs in either centred ( Integrated) or non-integrated ( for difficult-tofit installati­on) fitment options, the EXP series is available in 12 or 24v, can be specced with either synthetic or wire rope, and features:

• An auto-engage clutch. • Fully potted ( sealed) electronic­s rated to industryst­andard IP69k. • LED task lighting. • An auto-off function. • Two fused auxiliary power ports for lighting, power tools or an air compressor. • Two Pitcantinn­y rails for mounting accessorie­s. According to Superwinch, benefits include; • Faster line speed. • Lower amp draw. • Smarter electronic­s. • Superior sealing.

The new EXP line is backed by Superwinch’s five-year electrical warranty and industry-first limited lifetime warranty on mechanical parts.
