GoBlock makes remote power easy

-

Owners of many modern four-wheel drives looking for power security when off grid and out in the backblocks have a challenge.

The complexity of many such utes and SUVs means a dual battery set-up can be hard to fit.

Redarc has responded with the

GoBlock, a ruggedised mobile battery management and portable power system.

Anthony Kittel, managing director, says the GoBlock taps into growing demand for portable and off-grid rechargeable power. It is built tough for off-road use and optimised to be charged while driving.

It can be used in 4WD, marine and outdoor recreational vehicle applications that require remote vehicle and solar rechargeable.

Featuring lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, the unit features an AC charger, DC charger, MPPT solar regulator, battery monitor and the lithium battery itself, all optimised to work flawlessly together and provide a portable auxiliary battery system for all locations.

It can be charged using a DC input from the vehicle’s alternator while driving, AC or solar while parked and can accept up to 50 Amps from any DC power source using its DC charging system. It can charge a 100 Amp-hour lithium battery in two hours. no matter where you go.

With USB, accessory, Merit, fridge and Anderson outputs, GoBlock will charge smart devices, phones, cameras, and drones as well as powering lights, compressors, fridges and more.

The GoBlock can also be managed from a smart phone or device using the company’s RedVision app which enables users to view the battery state of charge, system diagnostics, and input source information. It can also receive online software updates.

GoBlock also includes a Start Battery Recovery (SBR) feature. This is unique to GoBlock and when activated using the RedVision app, it enables safe recovery of a flat start battery.

The unit comes in either 50 or 100Ah models and measures 425x196x230mm.
